This fearful shot of Elisabeth Moss glancing over her shoulder in search of an unseen menace captures the film's concept quite well. A simple but very effective design.

This creepy poster tells us almost nothing about the plot but it draws us in with its repulsive imagery that suggests Brandon Cronenberg is following in the footsteps of his father's early career of "body horror" films. The distortion even brings to mind David Cronenberg's Videodrome.

An upside-down flag is supposed to be a symbol of distress. But what about an entire house being upside-down? That alone would be enough to grab our attention but the addition of a body in free fall (whether up or down we do not know) makes the whole image even more uncomfortable. Clearly there is something horribly wrong with the title residence.

This intriguing design features Anthony Mackie falling through a kind of spiraling hour glass that seems to take him through wildly different times and environments, all leading to the inevitability of death. Much like the poster for the filmmakers' previous film The Endless, the design is mysterious and beautiful.
